Sleep Paralysis

I was locked forever in a nightmare

secured in a psychiatric ward.

They stood over me,

taking “care” of me…

screeching at me..

attacking me.

The the lights were depressingly dimmed.

I lay on the lightly colored floor,

trapped in a straight jacket.

One day passes,

and I’m released.

Finally free.
