Centered

It seems to me, that the most tolerant people right now, reaching out, being positive, not shouting or belittling. Not bragging or blowing up. And also not scarily silent… are the ones “in the middle”.  Not hating either way.  Not boastful, not afraid.  But centered… attempting to speak tactfully about difficult topics.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Is it because they don’t want to stir the pot?  Is it that they act that way because they are “stuck” in the middle, indecisive, neutral.  Or maybe, they are that way, WE are that way, because that’s what defines the middle.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Live on the edge, and you are prone to tipping over. When most of what you believe is based on “extreme” views, either way, “left” or “right”, at some point, when things don’t go the way you want, you will tip over.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
And I am not thrilled with where we are right now. But I need to stay calm. We need to stay calm.  I encourage you to test the waters in the middle and start by listening. Nobody can tell you how to think or act… but I encourage you consider being more centered.

Thanks for sharing! Love the idea of the middle being a destination, not a default!
